Effective July 10, 2026. ParentCue is designed to provide parental controls without creating a profile of your family.

Data we do not collect

ParentCue has no profile-based account or analytics system. We do not collect, sell, rent, or share voice recordings, browsing activity, or detailed device-usage reports. There are no ads or tracking SDKs.

Encrypted household linking

QR linking creates a random household identifier and secret on the parent device. Household and device labels, control schedules, goals, completed hourly usage milestones, and Apple’s opaque app-selection tokens are encrypted before transmission. The relay stores only an identifier, authentication hash, ciphertext, and revision number; it cannot read the household contents. Voice, interpreted requests, exact activity timelines, app identities, browsing history, and detailed reports are never sent to the relay. The encrypted record remains until the household owner deletes it for everyone.

Voice and AI

Speech recognition is required to run on device. If it is unavailable for the current language, ParentCue does not send audio to a server. Apple’s on-device Foundation Models framework interprets supported requests; a deterministic local parser is the fallback.

Family Controls and activity

Apple represents app and website selections with opaque tokens. Detailed usage information remains inside Apple’s sandboxed Device Activity report extension. Linked parents receive only encrypted completed hourly milestones for the managed selection.

Purchases

Apple processes subscriptions. ParentCue checks verified StoreKit transactions for access and never receives payment-card details.
